Overseeing Bookkeeping and Payroll at Missoula OsteoStrong and Missoula PhysicalTherapy
Rachel Ames, Owner of Missoula OsteoStrong and Missoula Physical Therapy, celebrates a client’s remarkable progress. With the right systems supporting her business behind the scenes, Rachel can focus on what matters most—helping clients improve their strength, mobility, and long-term health.

Industry Challenges and Opportunities

Businesses in the healthcare and wellness industry face increasing administrative complexity. Changing payroll regulations, competitive labor markets, and the need for accurate financial reporting can quickly become overwhelming for clinic owners.

For practices that are built around patient care and clinical outcomes, managing bookkeeping and payroll internally can pull valuable time and energy away from the mission that inspired the business in the first place.

Without streamlined financial systems and consistent reporting, it becomes difficult to maintain clarity, control costs, and create opportunities for sustainable growth.

Cascadia Management Group provides relief by strengthening the financial backbone of growing organizations. Through professional bookkeeping and payroll services, Cascadia helps improve accuracy, transparency, and operational stability, allowing leadership teams to stay focused on serving their clients.

With the right systems in place, back-office operations become a foundation for long-term success rather than a source of stress.

Executive Summary

Rachel Ames, Owner and Physical Therapist at Missoula OsteoStrong and Missoula Physical Therapy, launched both businesses in 2022. With more than 23 years of clinical experience, Rachel combines a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, bringing both scientific expertise and a holistic perspective to her work.

Her inspiration to introduce OsteoStrong to the Missoula community came from a deeply personal experience. After witnessing her mother dramatically improve bone density through the OsteoStrong program, Rachel recognized the potential to bring this innovative approach to others seeking better bone health and mobility.

OsteoStrong utilizes proprietary osteogenic loading technology, designed to safely replicate high-impact forces that stimulate bone growth while improving strength, balance, and musculoskeletal health.

Together with her physical therapy practice, Rachel’s mission is clear:

Help Missoula’s aging population remain strong, active, and independent for as long as possible.

Cascadia’s Approach

From the moment Rachel opened Missoula OsteoStrong and Missoula Physical Therapy, she partnered with Cascadia Management Group to ensure a strong operational foundation.

Coming from a clinical background, Rachel openly acknowledged that she had limited formal business training and wanted to ensure the financial side of the business was managed correctly from the start.

Cascadia Partner and Senior Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist Chris Burt stepped in to oversee these essential functions.

Chris established systems that provided:

  • Accurate bookkeeping and financial tracking

  • Reliable payroll processing and compliance

  • Organized financial reporting

  • Clear operational structure for both businesses

By managing these critical back-office responsibilities, Cascadia enabled Rachel to focus on the work she cares most about, helping her clients improve their health and quality of life.

Impact

Through Cascadia’s partnership, Rachel gained confidence in the financial stability and operational clarity of both businesses.

With organized bookkeeping, accurate payroll systems, and reliable reporting in place, she now has the visibility needed to make informed decisions and plan for long-term growth.

Instead of being consumed by administrative responsibilities, Rachel can focus on her patients, her staff, and expanding the services she provides to the Missoula community.

The result is a stronger operational foundation that supports both businesses and the people they serve.

Members of Missoula OsteoStrong engage in strength-building sessions and recovery therapies that support bone density, mobility, and overall wellness. Through innovative technology and personalized guidance, Rachel Ames and her team help clients achieve measurable improvements in strength and quality of life

Client Testimonial

“Starting my business, I had very little formal business experience and a lot of questions. Their team has been incredibly patient, organized, and supportive from day one. They took what felt overwhelming and made it manageable. They handle everything from bookkeeping to payroll and keep me on track and compliant, which gives me real peace of mind. My books are not simple, but they make them feel that way. I truly feel confident and secure knowing they’re behind the scenes keeping everything tight and running smoothly.”
